Sandra graduated from the Ontario College of Nurses in 1987. She practiced as an RN for 14 years at Grand River Hospital.
In October 2019, Sandra took the Jobst fitters course for compression stockings and socks. With her compassion and academic background it made the next step in her healthcare career an easy transition. Compression stockings and socks are medical grade hosiery designed to help prevent or halt the occurrence and progrssion of various medical disorders related to blood circulation in the legs.They improve blood circulation to provide a more effective blood flow to filter toxins from muscles during exercise {lactic acid} and provide better oxygenation to the muscles.
Compression garments are designed to help impove performance and reduce recovery time after exercise.
Venous desorders are very common, 20% of men and 30% of women suffer from some form of venous insufficiency.
